What's an unconference?
GlowCamp follows an unconference format. Unconferences are driven by participation — your participation. This is unlike traditional conferences, which expect a more passive relationship between the official presenters and the audience.
When you arrive, a large sign-up sheet will be available. Participants will be able to sign up for speaking time at any point in the day. Time slots often go quickly. You can attend a scheduled talk or create a 'breakout' discussion elsewhere. We encourage you to send us your talk idea in advance so that we can put it up here, but you can also start a discussion based on the day's events.
Some common features of unconferences:- Free or no registration
- Open participant signup for speaking time
- Facilitated discussion time
- Wiki-style recordkeeping
